The snow's really gonna hit the fan this Christmas when one girl's battle to preserve her birthday goes hilariously awry.
It’s bad enough to have a Christmas birthday. It’s worse to have a Christmas name. But the absolute worst thing that can possibly happen to Noelle Garland just days before her eighteenth birthday is for her stupid brother to bring his college roommate home for the holidays because that means her ultra-competitive parents are going to get that gleam in their eyes—the one that means they’ve signed up for ALL of the events in their town’s annual Holiday Spirit competition.
Eighteen-year-old Quintin Bradford Grant can't wait to have a real family Christmas with his roommate, Nick. No staff, no bodyguards, no absent parents, but a storybook holiday with tree-trimming and snowman-building and sledding and caroling. The last thing he expects is an entire bag of flour pitched at his head -- or to hear Nick's sister announce she's on strike for Christmas. Stuck in the middle of the Garland family's holiday drama, Quintin befriends the unhappy girl.
Elle may be on strike for Christmas but staying mad at Quintin is impossible. He's seriously cute and seems to understand why she's on strike. But as her birthday shrinks ever smaller beside all the Christmas sparkle, Elle knows she needs to make a statement so big, even her clueless parents won't miss it.
What could possibly go wrong?
